What does the screen show?

The screen displays live UVI, battery percentage and battery voltage.

How do I turn the meter on?

Before first use, remove the battery insulating tab. Short press the ON/OFF button on the right to switch the meter on.

Where is the sensor?

The sensor is on the left side of the front panel. Point it directly at the light source when taking a reading.

How do I lock or release a reading?

While measuring, short press the ON/OFF button to hold the current value. Press it again to return to live readings.

How do I turn the meter off?

Long press the ON/OFF button. The meter also switches off after two minutes of inactivity.

Which battery does the meter use?

The UVB-1 Series uses a rechargeable LIR2450 cell.

Is a charger included?

The operating guide identifies an RSC-X2-3 charger as included with the meter.

What do the charger lights mean?

The indicator is red while charging and green when fully charged. The guide states a charging time of three to four hours.

What does the 240 to 320 nm range describe?

It describes the sensor wavelength range stated in the operating guide. Nanometres describe wavelength; they do not describe a numeric UVI measurement range.

Can the wavelength range be converted into a UVI reading?

No. A wavelength range and an index value describe different properties. Read the UVI value shown on the screen and use the guide to understand the meter controls.
